Dear
All
I'm pleased to
announced that details of the above conference (including the full conference
and social programme, maps, and accommodation details) have now been posted
on our dedicated website:
The conference
kicks off on Thursday evening at the Austrian Ministry of Justice (Palais
Trautson) with an Opening Address by Michele Graziadei (Turin), on the topic,
What went wrong? Tort law, Personal Responsibility and Expectations of
Proper Compensation and Care. The Opening Reception follows, including a
light buffet.
Friday, at the
Austrian Academy of Sciences, is devoted to annual country reports from 27
different jurisdictions (including the EU), with a Comparative Analysis at the
end. Our conference dinner is, as always, a "heurigen evening" in a tradition
Viennese wine tavern.
Saturday morning
sees a special session on Burden of Proof with contributions by Vibe Ulfbeck
(Copenhagen), Ivo Giesen (Utrecht) and Ernst Karner (Vienna). The conference
closes at 1 pm.
I hope to welcome
lots of ODG members (return visitors and newcomers) to Vienna next
Spring!
Best
wishes
Ken
